📅 October 15 2025
October begins with a prestigious recognition for Ceccotti Collezioni: the selection of the Eileen lounge armchair for inclusion in the ADI Design Index 2025, the annual publication that showcases the finest examples of Italian design and serves as the preliminary stage for the Compasso d’Oro Award 2026 nomination.
Designed by DRAW Studio, Eileen reflects the distinctive approach of its designers, who masterfully combine technical expertise and style, and who have already created numerous iconic pieces for Ceccotti Collezioni.
Clean and contemporary lines
The Eileen armchair draws inspiration from the work of designer Eileen Gray, a pioneer of the Modern Movement, with a preference for pure, rounded forms.
Crafted from solid wood, it combines the elegance of 20th-century Italian seating with a bold, unconventional construction. Incomplete symmetries, visual counterweights, and the constant tension between rigor and fluidity are the elements that make Eileen a piece with truly unique design.
Made with advanced joinery techniques, it showcases a side profile marked by a sweeping curve that extends from the back leg up to the armrest. The frame is reinforced with oblique elliptical rods, allowing the wood to flex like a bow supporting the upholstered seat. The surfaces are enriched with solid brass accents, while the cushions ensure a cocooning comfort, enhanced by luxurious leather or fine fabrics.
Tuscan Excellence in Design
The selection of Eileen for the ADI Design Index 2025 represents an important recognition of the design and craftsmanship excellence of Ceccotti Collezioni.
On the occasion of Florence Design Week 2025, ADI Toscana will present a selection of products included in the ADI Design Index at the Fortezza da Basso, with an exhibition open from October 18 to 25, where the Eileen armchair will also be on display.
On this occasion, Ceccotti Collezioni will receive the “Tuscan Excellence in Design” award, recognizing the company’s ongoing commitment to preserving and innovating the art of woodworking, while celebrating the region’s rich artisanal and cultural heritage.
