The 2020 collection | Giuseppe Casarosa

The Ala chair, with armrests and without armrests, talk about lightness, even in their names.

Giuseppe Casarosa, the designer, drew a wooden frame that, through a skilful combination of grades and dynamic lines, seems to be soaring into the air. The sleek combination and the basic lines are not incompatible with the ergonomics and pleasantness of the seat, with the back bent slightly backwards for comfort. But perhaps it is in the armrest that the design of the Ala chair reaches its climax: a seamless, almost organic line with rounded corners that runs along and emphasises the silhouette of the chair, as it expands and shrinks down ok meet the foot. A real virtuoso piece of handiwork, which emphasises the veins of the American walnut or ash wood.
